Credits and seats use different units. A "credit" covers an entire machine session (many AI calls). A "call" covers one AI request. Pick credits for variable workload across many machines; pick seats for steady volume.

What counts as a credit?

1 credit = 1 machine session. Plug the USB into a new computer and run an AI feature, that's 1 credit. Within that session you can make unlimited AI calls (Ask Claude, autonomous agent, triage reports). Sessions auto-close after 4 hours, after 2 million tokens, or when you move to a new machine.

What's the difference between credits and seats?

Credits are per-machine (one credit covers all AI work on that one PC). Seats are per-call (one call = one AI request, regardless of which machine). Credits suit techs servicing many varied machines; seats suit teams with steady, predictable volume.

What if I forget to click "New Client"?

Hostname-based tracking auto-detects machine changes. Sessions also auto-close after 4 hours or 2M tokens, so you can't accidentally rack up unlimited AI usage on one credit.

Do diagnostics or repairs use credits?

No. All scripts — diagnostics, security sweep, network checks, file recovery, drive imaging — run locally on the USB and are free forever. You only consume credits or calls when you use AI features (the agent, Ask Claude, or AI triage reports).

Can I use GRAM without an account?

Yes. All diagnostic, repair, and recovery scripts work fully offline with no account. You only need an account for AI features.

What happens if my subscription lapses?

You revert to credit-based billing automatically. Any remaining credits in your account stay usable; you can keep buying credit packs to continue using AI features without resubscribing.

What happens if I exceed my monthly call allowance?

Each overage call is billed at $0.50, drawn from your credit balance. If your credit balance is empty, AI calls are blocked until you top up or your subscription renews.

How is my customer's data handled?

Diagnostic data sent to the AI agent (including hostname, usernames, and file paths from the machine you're servicing) is forwarded to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic does not train on this data and retains it for 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for details.
